I can’t believe that me, of all people have to be the one to submit this.  We’ve had plenty of posts about how to behave in the Twitter RP world, but there is something else I’ve noticed… character hijacking.

No one here can be on twitter 24/7 (though @cadeskywalker certainly tries.  He’s such a man-whore), so that said, we all assume that our characters are off to doing “something else” when we aren’t on.

The problem arises when other characters hijack your character by saying you did things or certain things happened while you weren’t online.  IE, if @CadeSkywalker were to tweet “And then @TheDarthTalon baked me a birthday cake and swore off the Sith completely & joined my harem.” while I was not online- when I came back online & saw that, I’d have to do one of two things; accept it & say “yes Cade I love you & have always wanted to be in your Harem” or say “WTF, No.  that never happened.”

Either way my character is ruined in a way, because if I go along with it, so as to not rock the RP boat, my character has forever been changed- but if I don’t go along with it, I just basically told everyone that Cade is an idiot (which he is) who doesn’t know how to RP properly.

I guess my point is, don’t start saying crap about another character & what they are supposedly doing unless you have their express permission.  IE, I have given @cadeskywalker & @deliah_blue to say whatever they’d like about me when I’m not on, because honestly I’m not on very much & I trust them to not tweet about my Character in a way I wouldn’t approve.

Ultimately, just talk to someone you RP with before you presume or assume to much.
